Born from a refusal to accept the ordinary.
There is a moment β a quiet, clarifying moment β when you look at something ordinary and realise it is not good enough. Petzeen began in that moment.
We had grown up trusting labels. Trusting packaging. Trusting the familiar names on pet shop shelves. And then one day, we stopped trusting β and started reading. What we found changed everything.
Behind the soft colours and reassuring language was a world of synthetic chemicals, artificial compounds, and ingredients born not in nature but in a laboratory. The organic world β rich, powerful, extraordinary in its complexity β had been almost entirely shut out.
